The Basics Of Dog Training
Whether you have just gotten your first dog or have had a number of dogs over the years training your dog is a learning experience for everyone. Each dog has it’s own unique learning ability some learn faster than others but all dogs can be trained to do certain tasks. Dog do need to have a job it maybe as simple as siting quietly next you or learning to be a service dog. Dog’s are intelligent and for this reason they do need proper training to be a happy member of your family. Dog training in it’s self has changed over the years to a more positive reward based training. Dogs want to please their owners and by marking the right behavior with food and praise dogs learn quickly which behaviors earn them the treats and praise. Dog owners especially new owners need to learn as well like the basics of holding a leash, how to stand, when to offer treats and when not too. On the Video Karen refers to this as Muscle Memory which we all have and have learned over the years. One example is riding a bike once you’ve learned you no longer have to think about balance or peddling you do it naturally the same holds true for dog training. Body Language is another technique that you will learn on our video, Karen will explain about how your dog’s body language comes into play with dog training. Karen will also show how your own body language is also key to successfully training your dog. Dog’s communicate with each other through body language and knowing the right way to communicate with your dog is key to successful dog training.
